Social Networking
A good social networking program always starts with determining which of the social networks that you client base is potentially going to be using. Once you have identified the social networks to use for your business, you must then identify the goals for the social networking portion of your overall search engine management strategy. This goal can be different for different organizations.
Some companies may be simply wanting to monitor what people are saying about their brand online in an effort to address complaints that some customers have about their products. Others may want to use social networking to facilitate customer service requests. Still others may use a social networking plan as a question and answer forum to develop relationships with potential clients without the feel of the heavy sell.
Whatever your organization’s social networking goals are, you must state your purpose and then write down some realistic, quantifiable goals that include a specific budget for the program.

Social networking sites represent a powerful way for your organization to extend its reach and build its brand online. Every day, more and more people across the internet are becoming familiar with and using (on a daily basis) social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Orkut, POF, Match and Twitter.
Do you have a group of customers that all share a common interest in a particular topic? Why not create your own social networking site, or, add a social networking component to your existing site?
